Absci Biotechnology – Laboratory and Office Tenant Improvement

The new headquarters for Absci included a 80,000 sf tenant improvement of a former concrete warehouse with a fast-track, design-build delivery. The project included 30,000 sf of biotech lab space; 30,000 sf of office, conference, and gathering space; and 20,000 sf of additional adjacent space for continued development of life-changing medicines.

Creating new offices and laboratories in 28 weeks required in-depth collaboration between Absci scientists, planners, design professionals, and the Bremik Construction team. The detailed design called for close collaboration with Bora Architects to model, source, and solve the many challenges of a compressed timeline, while planning flexible workspaces for an evolving science industry.
