INGRAINED IN OUR CULTURE

Safety is not an afterthought that develops once a project begins. Safety is ingrained in our culture to protect our finest asset—our community of construction personnel.

As soon as a project begins in preconstruction, members of our safety department work closely with project managers and superintendents to identify safety hazards that may impact the project or surrounding area. This early identification allows us to schedule safety into the labor process so necessary precautions are utilized at project commencement.

We require superintendents and project engineers to earn safety certifications in OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid, and receive competent person training for crisis management, excavation, fall protection, and more. Training is ongoing as we always seek new opportunities to improve our safety program.

AWARDS

We are proud of the safety culture we have developed, which has been recognized with our industry’s highest safety awards.

Our founder, Mike Greenslade, contacted Studson with suggestions to improve the safety technology of hard hats to reduce construction related head injuries. This led to replacing the traditional hard hat with life-saving helmets created from the insights of our safety and field staff. We are proud of our innovative contribution to improving the technology preventing head injuries.
