Leach Botanical Garden

The Leach Botanical Garden, an enchanting 16-acre refuge, underwent comprehensive renovations to its historic Manor House, Carriage House, and Stone Cabin. The goal of the renovations was to preserve the historical integrity of these buildings while enhancing their functionality and safety for future generations to enjoy.

Restoration scope included lead paint removal as well as repainting and refurbishing windows and siding. Renovation scope consisted of lighting, electrical, and HVAC upgrades, installation of new flooring, wall repairs, restroom remodels, commercial kitchen remodel, and the installation of new roof.

The hillside and lower garden feature native plants, historic Leach plant collections, meandering, wooded trails, and riparian area pathways along Johnson Creek. Special attention was given in construction to tree protection, safety of the occupied site, and restoration of the Stone Cabin, which is located across Johnson Creek.
