Historic US Bank Block Renovation
Bremik Construction took great care in maintaining the historic nature and intricate details of three buildings that make-up the Historic Bank Block in downtown Portland, Oregon. The building was first designed by renowned local architect A.E. Doyle. The Wells Fargo Building was completed in 1907, while the addition of the US Bank building, originally completed in 1917 and expanded in 1925, doubled the existing footprint. The final section of the block, US Motor Bank, was constructed in 1956 and added two floors of office space and three levels of parking.
We completed the demolition and built back a white box space. Demolition included all interior walls, accessories, and abandoned MEP systems. Additionally, the project included a full build-out of a roof-top suite. As part of the upgrades, we renovated common spaces and replaced MEP systems across seven floors, the rooftop, and basement. A new rooftop walkway was added to improve the connectivity of the three buildings.
