At Bremik Construction, we believe the strength of our industry comes from the people who shape it. During Women in Construction (WIC) Week 2026, we celebrated the women who are strengthening our culture, our teams, and our communities. WIC Week is a national recognition led by NAWIC to highlight the impact of women across the construction industry.
Showing Up on the Jobsite
We kicked off the week where our work matters most: in the field. Team members gathered at active jobsites, including the University of Oregon’s Friendly Hall Renovation and Home Forwards’ Gresham Civic Station, stepping into live construction environments to see progress firsthand. These tours were an opportunities to connect, learn, and recognize the leadership and expertise present on every site. From navigating active logistics and safety protocols to witnessing the coordination required to move complex projects forward, the job walks highlighted something powerful: women are leading, contributing, and shaping outcomes at every level of construction. For many on our team, these moments also reflect personal growth and the path they’ve built within the industry.

Safety, Stewardship, and Presence
Walking these sites also reinforced a core part of Bremik’s identity, our commitment to safety and stewardship. Busy environments filled with equipment, cranes, and constant movement require focus, communication, and trust. The presence of our teams on site, guided by experienced field leadership, demonstrated how safety is a shared responsibility. This is where leaders like Kaitlin Schauer, our Safety Manager, play a critical role in creating environments where everyone can succeed and return home safely each day.
