Happy Valley Public Library Expansion
The 10,700 sf expansion to the Happy Valley Public Library included the demolition of the parking lot and driveway apron in order to re-grade in preparation for the slab-on-grade foundation. Construction consisted of cast-in-place concrete with wood-framing. The exterior also featured many steel elements with aluminum batten to conceal fastening accessories. The new work required the relocation of existing utilities and backup generator. Plumbing and lighting controls were expanded and acoustic ceilings were installed at study rooms and offices. These improvements also added a 300-person room to host community events.
