Happy Valley Public Library Expansion
Bremik Construction and Scott Edwards Architecture are providing services to deliver a 7,300 sf expansion to the Happy Valley Public Library. The scope includes the demolition of the parking lot and driveway apron in order to re-grade in preparation for the slab-on-grade foundation. Construction will consist of cast-in-place concrete with wood-framing and concrete masonry block and mortar. The exterior will feature many steel elements with aluminum batten to conceal fastening accessories. The new work requires the relocation of existing utilities and backup generator. Plumbing and lighting controls will be expanded and acoustic ceilings will be installed in study rooms and offices. These improvements will also add a 300-person room to host community events.
