Regional Skills Center and Chinook Residence Hall

The 19,000 sf Regional Skill Center supports advanced manufacturing and fabrication, construction trades, and aircraft maintenance programs. Along with a new student housing building, the additions comprise the college’s largest expansion. The skills center provides design flexibility for the college’s programs, including a design lab and construction lab with high-bay interior space, maker space, and classrooms. It serves college students as well as high school students in grades 11-12.

The 12,000 sf Chinook Residence Hall, named for the college’s mascot, emphasizes affordability. The building has 12 units with four beds each, as well as two studio apartments for residential managers who may also be students. Each four-bed unit has a study area, bathroom, and kitchenette. There is a common kitchen on the first floor and a student lounge on the second floor, and a laundry facility on each floor. Rooms on the south side overlook the campus; those on the north overlook the Columbia Gorge.
