Where are you from and what brought you to Portland?
I am born and raised in Portland.
What is your favorite thing about Portland?
Geographic location – Mountains to the East, coast to the West, and rivers in between.
What made you want to get into construction?
I needed to earn money to support my ski racing habit. I always like being outside, building things, and working with my hands.
Tell us about starting Bremik.
The most exciting and scariest day of my life. I always had the entrepreneurial desire to do my own thing. Brent and I took the best away from our prior experience and applied it to what we wanted to see in a company.
What is your favorite Bremik project and why?
That’s a tough one. The Lodge at Government Camp. My good friend Jeff Kohnstamm and the relationship we had, plus my love for the mountain, made it a great project.
What is the last book you read?
Mindset. I recommend it.
What is the coolest place you have ever visited?
Hells Canyon.
What do you want to see for Bremik before you retire?
It’s all about our next generation. A talented, high performing group that will continue to build Bremik for the next generations to come.
What inspires you when it comes to work?
Our people. I love seeing people learn and grow.
When people hear Bremik, what do you want them to think?
Quality, consistency, and high performers.
What else should people know about you?
I have fantastic family and friends, and in the recent passing of my father, it’s amazing the amount of support I have received from them.
