The Marilyn is a unique blend of luxury and affordable housing in the heart of Southeast Portland. The brick- and metal-clad building has a contemporary appeal, while remaining complementary to the massing and materials of the neighborhood’s historical character. Twenty percent of the units are reserved for residents making 80% of the median family income. Amenities for this 59-unit apartment building include private balconies, a top floor lounge and patio, ground floor retail shops, and 22 parking spaces.

Bremik self-performed much of the project scope, including pouring and installing structural concrete, creating wood-framing, and installing windows and bathroom accessories. This was all done on very tight project site, where the building footprint took up the entirety of the property. In order to deliver, store, and hoist materials on such a small footprint, Bremik crews had to carefully coordinate with the City of Portland and product and materials manufacturers.
